About Me
My name is Rachel Jamison Webster. I am the Director of Creative Writing at Northwestern University, where I have taught poetry, literature and creative non-fiction since 2005. I am the author of three books and two chapbooks, and many articles and essays. In between writing projects, I paint and make collages to clear my mind and energy. This site features some of my artworks, as well as two series by other artists. The photographer Vanessa Filley responded to my memoir-in-progress, Double Vision, with the lovely photos in her series, "The One Who is Missing." These feature me and my daughter, Adele. The series of cosmic paintings by artist Holly Cohn was named after my book, The Endless Unbegun. She exhibited these extraordinary paintings at the Wisconsin Academy of Arts & Sciences in 2017-18.
